Speed Up App...?

Hi I have a coin flipping application that i have attached and obviously i am wondering how to speed up the flipping. More specifically i am wondering how to make the user interface or view update faster b/c when i turn of the one line in the flipper method that tells the appcontroller to update its myFlipSet the app can get 1 billion flips in like 2 mins while when that line is in it takes 100 hours!
